recognize road signs

hello, cud I know how to recognize the pictogram image in the road sign?I have done detection stage ...then I faced problem with road signs recognition. As far as I m corcerned. there is 2 ways.. 1) by character extraction.e.g: a stop sign 2) pictogram extraction.. e.g: a give way sign. please advice.tqvm!

Since this is not yet a MATLAB question, you should research sections 15 and 23 here: http://iris.usc.edu/Vision-Notes/bibliography/contents.html first, and then try to code up your favorite method there, then come back with your MATLAB questions.
