SFM 3D model

I am trying to create a 3D model using the sfm technique from the point cloud data. Here's the example script https://www.mathworks.com/help/vision/examples/3-d-point-cloud-registration-and-stitching.html
However, this one uses kinect data, is it possible to create it without that dataset. My goal is to create a 3D model/stiching with a set of images using a taken a smartphone. thanks for the help.
