Boundaries of a point cloud

I have 2D points in the x,y-plane and I would like to extract the boundaries with this function:

The problem is that the desired shape has sharp edges and the function isn't outputting the desired results... Any idea?...

boundary should work well..if it is not as expected....show your data.
