Distorting an image on an arbitrary grid

I have an image with several lines cutting across it. The lines are almost parallel (but not quite), and fitting for them is straightforward. Now, I'd like to distort the image so that all the lines are parallel and equally spaced apart, interpolating between them as necessary. What's a good way to do this?
