I am trying to change the values of certain pixels in a gray scale image, specifically i want to decrease the intensity of these pixels by 50. I have identified the pixels that I want to change their intensity using imtool. these pixels are located near to the center of the image. my question is there any mean allows me to change the intensity of these pixels without affecting any adjacent pixel.
Regards

If you have the indices of the pixel.....you can replace them with your value.
If you have local indices (i,j):
I(i,j) = val ;
If you have global index, idx:
I(idx) = val;

Thanks KSSV for replying I think i was not clear abou my problem. I need to change the value of pixels at certain rows and coluns. Its very hard to change these pixels one by one.
In another words I need a loop go through specific rows and columns and changing the value of pixels related to that rows an columns.

You need not to run a loop....if you have indices...at a stretch you can replace them with your value.
