How to plot points after smoothing?

I am planning to plot Voltage vs time. the following are the steps and i took all the data from a .csv file. t=a[:,1] data=a[:,2] y=smooth(t,data,1,'loess') plot(y) I am able reduce noise in wave with above program. But when I plot data points with respect to time all the data points are shifting away from the wave.
