- Retry after sometime (or)
- Download the package and then install. Download option is available when you click on the small arrow next to the Install button.
- Or you can download the installer package directly from the following link: https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/52848-matlab-support-for-mingw-w64-c-c++-compiler
Im trying to download MinGW using addon Matlab 2017a but it shows an error "There was a problem downloading the support package. To resolve this issue, see this MATLAB Answer". What do i do?

Network connectivity issues sometimes cause errors while downloading support packages. I suggest you do the following:

I am also having problems installing mingw. It downloads the support packages, but as soon as it goes to the "third-party" packages, it says "Something unexpected occurred. To resolve this issue, contact Technical Support." In addition, both links in the above answer do not work, which does not help either :(

I'm having the same issue - installing mingw. I have Microsoft Visual C++ 2017, Microsoft Visual C++ 2015, Microsoft Visual C++ 2013... installed already on my machine; yet matlab can't find any: it give the following error:
"No supported compiler or SDK was found. You can install the freely available MinGW-w64 C/C++ compiler; see Install MinGW-w64 Compiler. "
