How to crop my curve in the curve fitting tool ?

How want to crop my curve in the curve fitting tool , in order to fit a proper curve for the cropped out part.

e.g . I want to only work in the portion between 0.2 < x < 1.2 .

I have tried changing the axis limits but it does nothing, it just zooms in or out .

Just crop the data BEFORE it goes into the curvefitting tool. Only pass in what you knowyou want to fit. Why is this a problem?

The data set is huge, close to 32,000 points. Chosing the required data set from numbers would be a difficulty I suppose.

Thanks! I did it in numbers using the filter option.
