plot with axis properties from another plot

Hi,
I am trying to use the same axes to plot different data.
First, I plot one set of data.
Second, I use "get" to obtain the axis properties:
h1=get(Ax(1)); %horizontal axis properties
v1=get(H1); %vertical axis properties
I want to plot another x-y plot with the same axis properties as h1 and v1. Could somebody, please, help me?
