.dat file store and play back

I am generating a signal and storing it using .DAY file once it is stored we can play back easily. But i should generate a signal and it should store and that moment or that instance the signal should be play . This is possible in Simulink???? How should we use single port ram and can we get the data after simulation (means where we can access the stored data in ram)???
