Simbiology problem on derived quantities from kinetic mechanism species

Hello I have written a complex kinetic mechanism of an enzyme which has several intermediate species, i.e.
E + S = ES_1 = ES_2 =...= EP = E + P. Here "=" indicates a reversible reaction
I need to express an observed quantity as a simple sum of given species (e.g observed =ES_i + ES_j + ...) How can this be done from within the Simbiology GUI? Can sensitivities be calculated for the observed quantity? Thank you F Malatesta

You can use a repeated assignment rule to calculate the total amount of ES in your system. You can read more about rules here. However, SimBiology does not currently support performing sensitivity analysis on such a quantity. Instead, you must calculate the sensitivity yourself from other sensitivities. For example, the sensitivity of total ES is just the sum of the sensitivities ES_i, ES_j, etc.
