Matlab wont show up after second run

Hello there, I am using Windows 7 64 bit on one machine and Windows 10 64 bit on another. The problem occurs on both. The Matlab version I am using is R2017b. Here is the problem. After I turn on Matlab for the first time after reboot, everything works. If I exit the program and then try to open it again, it wont work. I can see the Matlab.exe process running and taking memory, but there is no visual application showing. I only see cmd black box for a micro second and thats all. The blue box with matlab logo wont show. The more times I open matlab, the more matlab.exe processes running in the background. The only way to open matlab again for me is to reboot. Sometimes I am able to open matlab again after first exit, but that rarely happens. What could be the reason for this? This issue is very inconvenient for me. I would appreciate all help.

Looks like the route to a solution lies in the FAQ: http://matlab.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ#After_installation.2C_MATLAB_crashes_or_gives_an_error_message_when_I_try_to_run_MATLAB.

I have no idea why you're not able to finish launching MATLAB, but the Mathworks will be able to figure it out. They can even set up a Webex session to drive your computer to debug it and to look at crash logs and events that were logged. The volunteers in this Answers forums are not Mathworks employees and can't do that (as the FAQ says). Though you might have to wait until Monday to get someone at the Mathworks who has the expertise to debug your situation.
