hello
I want to run a program which is display different letters and numbers for 5 seconds for each number or letter for the participants to measure the memory. so what the loop or function to display each item?

What about something like this?
numbers = randi(100, 1,10);
for k=1:numel(numbers)
disp(numbers(k))
pause(5)
end
