Precedence Order Issue: Java method over a function

I am using a third-party toolbox that has function lookup.m. Whenever this function gets called I get an error
No constructor 'lookup' with matching signature found.
Running "which lookup -all" gives
lookup is a Java method % lookup constructor
lookup is a Java method % com.mathworks.mde.editor.breakpoints.MatlabBreakpointUtils method
SOME_PATH\lookup.mexw64 % Shadowed
SOME_PATH\lookup.m % Shadowed
So the function that I want to be called is shadowed by some internal Java method. What would be an easy way to make the function to be called (I can't rename it)?
