Curvature and Torsion calculation of image

Hi,
I have an image of an irregular 3D object. I need to calculate the normal curvature and the torsion of the image. Can anyone please help me with this?

I've never used them. Do you have formulas in mind? I've heard of image moments ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_moments and moments of inertia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moment_of_inertia) - maybe you can use those. What are you trying to do such that you think you need the "the normal curvature and the torsion of the image"?

I need it to implement a shape from texture program.

I don't have the paper for that. I would guess that it's rather involved from the talks I've seen on it. Presumably you have such a paper that you are trying to implement in MATLAB. They give a lot of help here on MATLAB code and not so much on algorithms, especially complicated ones.
