Hey all,
I'm looking to either develop or otherwise procure software that does simple motion tracking. I have an object in a video with discernible points and a grid within view for calibration. I'm looking to select a single point (or perhaps multiple) and trace its location over time. Basically get an x-y time sires of these points' motion.
I'm reasonably competent with Matlab and I have the image processing toolbox, but I'm open to other software. I'd be surprised if I can't find something like this out there, but googling has yielded software that's far beyond what I need. Has anyone heard of a simple program that can do this?

What are your inputs? How can the "point" be recognized? If you provide any details about your problem, a useful answer is more likely.
