how to send data, ie the input form webcam (MATLAB) to arduino ?

i am making a project in which i am detecting rbg color through webcam ny using image processing. the working of the project is that everytime a red color object object is detected, a counter should start, and for each detection of red color, it counts and send the total count to lcd which is connected to arduino. please help me.
