figure projection of IR sensor

I have a IR sensor that generate a NxM matrix where the elements are the dinstances from IR sensor to a plane. the IR sensor is Z0 high and illuminates the plane with an alpha angle (like picture in attached). The figure on plane has elliptic form (like 2D edge). I would like know the dimensions of pixels on the plane, is it possible?
