bad pixel map creation

im trying to calibrate a camera and want to create a bad pixel map ( nonlinear, dead pixel, hot pixel,...). anybody has suggestion what to do. im going to take images with different exposure time and see if intensity values change linearly and then based on a threshold value like median filter? maybe find the outliars and make sure dark images are subtracted prior to that. but im not sure what else i need to do
