how to store figures in separate variable.

i had an image of 256*256 which was segmented to 8*8 matrix then later compared wrt standard deviation nw my image looks as shown in figure...difficult is how to save this save image in a variable so that i can apply later techniques? replies soon..

subplot(rows,columns,r)
T1=bwareaopen(T,0);
T1=255;
imshow(T1)
elseif(w<=q)
P=imbinarize(F{r});
subplot(rows,columns,r)
P1=bwareaopen(P,0);

imshow(P1)
end

part of code is here after this i am getting image which is shown in my figure i am not able to store in some variable.suggest something
