How do you model longitudinal vehicle dynamics based on a trip which uses speed limits and a topographic profile?

Hi,
I was wondering how to model the longitudinal dynamics of a vehicle's trip. The trip involves sections of certain speed limits (assumed vehicle speed) and a topographic profile (distance vs elevation). I've computed the "trip" in an excel spreadsheet and was wondering how to incorporate that into my longitudinal vehicle dynamics model in Simulink as I cannot find any information about this.
Regards,
Sean

A good example to look at is this one: Model a Road Profile with Varying Elevation and Friction
It shows you how to make use of your elevation data.
Another good example to look at is this one: Battery Electric Vehicle Model in Simscape
It shows a vehicle using closed-loop control to track vehicle speed.
