in color based segmentation i have written above line but error occurred after execution is Undefined function 'rescale' for input arguments of type 'double'.

Just do it yourself: scaling values to the range [0,1] is not very hard.

mat2gray() can be used to rescale. The name would tend to suggest that it takes RGB and makes it into grayscale but really it does not do that: it maps input into the range [0 1].
