How do I access the VEX Competition switch when it does not show in the library?

I have found that there are a number of items missing from my ARM Cortex VEX Microcontroller library. E.g. - Vex Competition switch / Integrated encoder module / Optical shaft encoder / ultrasonic sensor.
Do I need to buy the actual item before it can be used in MATLAB?

The features that you want to use are included in the toolbox from the R2016a MATLAB release. Below is the link to it:

If you are using some previous version, you can install the newer release and things should work for you.
