How to generate a simulink matlab function block for a very large function?

I'm generating a Simulink Matlab function block using matlabFunctionBlock() for a function describing some robot dynamics which as you imagine is very huge. I left the program running the whole weekend and came back and still the block hasn't been generated. Is there anything I can do to allow for faster block generation?
