Python's convolve1d in Matlab

Hi I can see some differences in how Python's scipy.ndimage.filters.convolve1d works compared to Matlab conv especially on the boundaries.
Does anybody know the corresponding function or parameters for Matlab to do the same (nice) job as Python's scipy.ndimage.filters.convolve1d?
