I would like to implement a project on security or authentication using thermal image processing on behalf of my masters degree. Could anyone please reply me with recent project ideas or IEEE papers on the same?

Have you tried Google yet? This is a Matlab forum. You can get help here for Matlab questions. This looks like a good question for your supervisor, not for a forum like this.
