Matlab does not run properly after cleaning computer

Dear Matlab community,

I have encountered several problem after cleaning my computer because my matlab could not run (does not even show the splash screen. only runs in admin).

Now that I have cleaned my computer, matlab finally works but it shows the following message on startup: The desktop configuration was not saved successfully.

As I tried to reconfigure my shortcut: Warning: An error occurred while attempting to save the quick access toolbar configuration to C:\Program Files\MATLAB\MATLABQuickAccess.xml

After that I tried ignoring the message and try exporting a figure from export setup but this shows up:

Error in exportsetupdlg (line 45) mkdir(pathname);

Error in filemenufcn (line 70) exportsetupdlg(hfig)

Error while evaluating Menu Callback.

Matlab was working perfectly until yesterday (21Aug) when I need to reconfigure my figures again. My last use of matlab was last week (16Aug).

Dear Mr Rik,

I had tried reinstalling and this problem occurs after that (from desktop configuration onwards).

My cleaning is just ccleaner’s cleaning.

I have reinstalled my matlab because it couldnt run at all previously, not even showing the splash screen. Only the cmd window opens for a microseconds then closes again. I got matlab work again only by running administrator but there are many restrictions. It’s finally workable again when i tried running matlab from bin\win64 but then the error of desktop configuration pops up then onwards.

Your help is kindly appreciated.
