I have point cloud data from a profilometer, where each scan line is a row and each column is a pixel in the line scan. i know what my pitch is between pixels and i know my scan count, frequency and velocity. I can calculate what my (x) and (Y) axis scales should be in terms of millimeters, how do i do this in Matlab?
Right now my data shows up as 1-2400 lines (Y), and 1-300 columns (X).

Try this
yInMm = y * mmPerPixelX
xInMm = (1:300) * mmPerPixelY
where mmPerPixel is the sampling rate (pitch) that you say you already know for the two directions (which may not be the same in each direction).
