Can I reinstall student licence in a new notebook?

Hi!
I just acquired student license, but I am having some troubles with my notebook. I will try to fix it. If I succeed, I want to reinstall matlab. If not, I would like to install my license in a new notebook. These options are possible?

yes!, you can deactivate your license from the Matlab website or directly from your old computer, and then during the installation process, you will enter your login data again. (with the student license you can install Matlab in two computers)

Hi, Walter!
Thank you for the information. I am going to take just one action: send my notebook to fix and reinstall on the same notebook or buy another one and install the Student License on it.
If I decide to buy a new notebook, I will not be interested in maintain the license activated at the previous notebook, but only on the new one. Is that not possible?

The situation I described is the common one where someone temporarily installs MATLAB on a different system while they wait for their computer to come back from repairs (since that can take weeks.) It is, of course, not mandatory that you install it somewhere else while you are waiting.
If you purchase a new system, then Yes, you can transfer licenses (the limit used to be 4 times per year; I think I heard it might have been reduced.) The transfer process is easiest if you still have access to the old system to run the deactivation process, but it is possible even if that computer has been scrapped.
