Same here. Just updated to the latest Raspberry Pi OS (fresh build) and no longer able to talk to it from R2018b for Home Use.
After trying several attempts I ended up using the Matlab image through the HW configuration tool. That means I had to blow away other work I had and will have to re-install. But I can connect and am running the "stretch" dist.
