How can I extract the pulses having peaks above certain threshold from a measured data

I have a data file X which have pulses at random times with positive and negative peaks. I want to extract these pulse signals from the data file and save then in serate files Xp1, Xp2, Xp3, ........ and the number of samples of the separate files needed to be the same
