Oracle changes the licence policy regarding Java.
Matlab uses Java.
Does Mathworks provide their customers with Java updates in the future?

Rik, this is a technical forum and the question is more than technical. As a first step for this user, I would like to identify what her specific needs are. As for what gets published, it depends on mutliple factors. I am a MathWorks employees, but I do not speak in behalf of MathWorks.

I may need to stop volunteering. MATLAB needs Java, but the minimum cost for Java will be $US 40 per license with a 2000 license minimum, which would cost me $US 80000.
