grid on in gui

HI,
I have six axes in my gui, and I want that everyone of them will be with grid on. simple command grid on, apply only on one of the plots randomly at each run.
how to resolve this?

axes_handle = axes(n)
plot(x, y)
grid(axes_handle, 'on')

Use grid on after every plot (/subplot) command.
