I can't set a parameters for embedded function (now matlab function) by line command

i am using add_block and set_param to make by program a simulink model. I have a probleme with matlab function (ex embedded function). I can add the block but can't set a parameters the parameters are : function y=fcn(u) program

did'nt work for me. and it's not a stateflow chart , just a simulink model

thanks very much, at first it did not work because i was using matlab function from simulink, not from eml_lib.
