How create function for call image?

Hy, I want create function for input the image but, when I run my code cannot read images. Can help me fix my code? here my code..
function im = inp(uigetfile,fullfile)
[fnameN, pathname]=uigetfile('D:project/image/.bmp');
fname=fullfile(pathname, fnameN);
im=imread(fname);
end

Try this:
function im = inp()
[baseFileName, folder] = uigetfile('D:project/image/*.bmp');
fullFileName = fullfile(folder, baseFileName);
im = imread(fullFileName);
end

@Image Analyst, I have another questions. I create Gui in matlab, it very easy to use because can read all function I have. So Im not need create many code to declarad what I want. Just enough call function and it works.
I want call all my function using php, is it possible the php can call the GUI include all my function?
