Using my own controller to test flights

Is there some steps which helps to identify how to change FCS, so that I can use my own controller and test it.

FCS - FLight Controller System
I have designed my own PD controller and I would like to use this one instead of the inbuild flight controller. I also would like to add a few more elements in future.

You can place your custom controller file in the "controller" folder.
