How to connect mathlab code to php in my web application?

i am doing a project using image processing in mathlab.I want to connect my mathlab file to php in my web application.Here i want to run my mathlab file by taking the swlected image from the database when i am pressing a button in my web application. Can you suggest a method to integrate my web application with mathlab code?
