not able to transmit data serially

Hello,
I am doing serial communication using SCI block. But it is not transmitting any value. I have used MSO at the SCIB port of hardware to check the signal but not getting value. (I am using tms230f28069m launchpad - c2000)

Have you checked the communication state?
name.int.Status
It should be 'open'.
