How to create variable to use on more than one function in App Designer?

I am trying to design an app which contain (2 dropdown menu, 2 edit field, three buttons and axes) as component.
I want to collect the data that the user entered in menu and edit fields, then when each button clicked it will calculate some diffrent formulas and then show the result in the axes.
My question is how to create a variable to use in all the function and assign the value for it from the data entered in the GUI component?
I tried to define global variable, but I think there is more professional way to do that.
can you help me with this??

you can store values in the graphical objects 'Property' and just call it out again in another callback
app.Component.Property
