EtherCAT Configuration example models available?

I am trying to use the EtherCAT block sets to implment an EtherCAT master in XPC. I can not find any documentation regarding the proper use of the Beckhoff EtherCAT configurator tool; it is almost impossible to set up and use without any manual. I have contacts at Beckhoff that indicate no such a thing exists...
So...
Are there any example EtherCAT configurator examples and corresponding Simulink models available so I can get a better understanding how to configure and use the tool?
