problem in generating exe file while using mcc

Hi
i wrote a simple code where it reads two value from a sheet of excel and writes into the same file
then i created exe file by using mcc
then next time when i change values in excel file and i run the exe again it is writing the previos values.
please help me

It might be because the excel file is included in compiled standalone exe file.
To avoid this,
  1. Move the excel file to a different folder (for example, desktop folder) where is not in MATLAB's path.
  2. Compile the m file and an exe will be created.
  3. Move the excel file to the same folder of the exe.
