How to perform real-time foreground detection uising Matlab?

I'm using a RGB-D camera for the detection of illegal dumping in an urban area. For this, I'm trying to perform real-time foreground detection (background subtraction), using the live video-feed from the camera (Intel RealSense D415). I've found examples for background subtraction using a saved videofile, and lots of people are saying to use the getsnapshot function. But I havent found working example code. Can anybody help me out?
