You should be able to text() or legend() afterwards, putting in the text yourself. The seqlogo function itself will not do it for you.
You might have to create a second axes with the same position as the original. I looked at the function last week and I seem to recall that it manages to parent some graphics directly to a uipanel instead of to an axes in the uipanel. I would need to go back to confirm that though.
