Does Simulink blocks data type affect simulation time?

I have built a large Simulink model and I am wondering if using data type like 'binary' or 'uint8' when possible instead of all signals being 'double' type would save me some simulation time.

Probably no effect. And probably causes more time since you need to resolve data type conflicts and add data type conversion.
If you don't care about data types, just use all default (double).
