I routinely get errors when attempting to use installed examples such as below:

Error using findExample (line 35)
Example "RFSatelliteLinkExample" not found in "C:\MATLAB\R2018b\examples\comm\examples.xml".
Error in openExample (line 24)
metadata = findExample(id);

In your release, R2018b, the example was invoked by
commrfsatlink
and not by openExample.
You are looking at the R2019a documentation but expecting it to work for your R2018b release.
