Conditional approach in a matrix variables

Hi
Assuming I have the following matrices
Y = [ 4,6,8,4,3,.......n]
I want to compute a conditional statement that would go through each number and if it is greater than 10 the computation stops and if not it continues to go through
the array until the end.
