I have installed the MCR vs R2017a which will install on a computer without an internet connection and if I then install my software -created with deploytool and also has the MCR embedded ( avery large file) it also works. Howverr, if I try to install my software without the MCR embedded ( a much smaller file for distributing) I get an error message

{Call to download server failed(HTTP error code 12007) try to rerun the installer

If that fails check your internet setting ....)

If I restablish the internet connection this does work. Is there a setting in deploytool that will stop the installation needing a network connection?

If it could be done, the resulting system would appear to be short a copy of MCR, unless it already had the correct MCR installed.

The correct MCR was installed but apparently twice- the first time using the just the MCR installer (vs R2017a) and then again bundled into my app with deploytool. So deploytool creates an installer (when you don't bundle the MCR) which needs somethig from the internet? and if you don't install the MCR separately before hand nothing installs with no internet connection.
