Most frequent contributors don't work for Mathworks, but do this as a hobby. So 'we' aren't hiding anything.
I know there is a feature request form somewhere on this site. You should be able to find it with a quick Google search. I don't know if Mathworks will choose to expose this to users, but they might. Submitting it as a feature request will have a much higher chance of working than a post on this forum.
On another note: Undocumented Matlab is an awesome blog where there is a huge amount to learn about Matlab trickery, so that is always worth checking out if you want to do something that is a bit out of the norm.
