DCOPF simulation in MATPOWER

I am going to perform DCOPF among 9 electrical zones connected to a center zone. I have separate data for all the zones like:
*Generation Capacity (MW)
*Demand (MW)
*Cost of Electricity ($/MWh) for all 8 types of sources used to produce electricity in these zones.
I have planned to use the IEEE 9 bus format to perform my DCOPF. I'm using MATPOWER 6.0 and currently have case9.m file opened. Now I'm confused on how to carry out my whole simulation.
If anyone can help me out with this, please response ASAP!

This sounds like a MATPOWER question rather than a MATLAB question.
