Equivalent of ImageJ minimum threshold using MATLAB

Hello! I am new in image processing using MATLAB. I am trying to detect the number of objects in my images. Using Fiji I I found that the threshold 'Minimum' works best. Is there a command to apply this threshold using MATLAB? I know that there is an equivalent one in Python, but my code is already all in MATLAB and I would like not to switch.
